Description Tammy Power with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic team in Bakersfield, California. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with expertise in corporate tax management, compliance, and financial reporting. You will play a crucial part in overseeing tax provisions, ensuring adherence to regulations, and supporting strategic business goals. Responsibilities: - Oversee the preparation and review of annual income tax provisions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. - Manage corporate tax return filings, ensuring accuracy and timely submission. - Utilize CCH ProSystem Fx to streamline and enhance tax-related processes. - Supervise sales tax compliance activities, including reporting and payment. - Provide guidance on entity formation and related tax implications. - Collaborate with internal teams to address complex tax issues and provide strategic recommendations. - Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the organization remains compliant. - Lead and mentor a team of tax specialists, fostering development and performance excellence. - Support audits and resolve any tax-related inquiries or disputes. - Contribute to the development of tax strategies that align with business objectives. Requirements - Minimum of 7 years of experience in tax management, preferably within a public accounting environment. - Proficiency in using CCH ProSystem Fx for tax preparation and reporting. - Strong knowledge of corporate tax returns and annual income tax provisions. - Experience with sales tax compliance and entity formation. - Familiarity with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. - Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. - Proven ability to lead and develop a team of professionals. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification required.
