The Maternity Unit Nursing Director will lead a Baby-Friendly designated maternity unit, ensuring exceptional care for mothers and newborns. The department operates in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with a strong focus on patient satisfaction, HCAHPS scores, and evidence-based practices. Managing a team of over 200 FTEs in a union setting, this leader will support a culture of collaboration and professional growth.
The Maternity Unit Nursing Director will be responsible for maintaining high standards in maternal and neonatal care, implementing quality initiatives, and fostering staff development. This includes oversight of education programs, clinical competencies, and mentorship. Operationally, the Maternity Unit Nursing Director will manage staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and performance improvement efforts, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction.
