Advantra is partnering with a global technology services firm in Phoenix to hire a Front End UI Engineer (React) to build and optimize user interfaces for enterprise applications used by millions of customers.
About the role
You will design and develop front end components using React, JavaScript, and related frameworks. The role involves integrating APIs, improving performance across browsers and devices, and ensuring smooth collaboration between UI and backend systems. You will work within existing enterprise component frameworks and contribute to scalable, maintainable interfaces.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain React-based front end features for enterprise web applications.
Implement responsive UI components using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Integrate with backend APIs and troubleshoot data flow issues.
Use Redux, Material-UI, or similar frameworks for state management and styling.
Optimize UI performance and ensure compatibility across devices and browsers.
Collaborate with backend and DevOps teams for seamless integration and deployment.
Follow front end best practices for accessibility, testing, and maintainability.
Work within enterprise design systems such as OneData and OneApp.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
Core requirements
6+ years of experience in front end engineering.
At least one year of experience with American Express OneData or OneApp components.
Strong hands-on skills in React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Node.js.
Experience with Redux, Material-UI, or comparable front end libraries.
Familiarity with version control using Git and DevOps workflows.
Proven ability to design and debug API integrations.
Experience optimizing performance and responsiveness across browsers.
Understanding of enterprise-scale UI architecture and standards.
Ability to work independently within a structured development environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot complex UI issues.
Nice to have
Prior experience working with American Express systems or environments.
Knowledge of accessibility and compliance standards for enterprise applications.
Experience with containerized or CI/CD environments.
Familiarity with performance profiling tools and debugging workflows.
Strong collaboration skills in distributed engineering teams.
